Title

Noninvasive optical sensors for increased safety in law enforcement, industrial, and medical applications

Conference Dates

July 23-26, 2017

Abstract

We have been developing noninvasive optical sensors for use in law enforcement, industrial safety, and medical applications. Over the past several years, our team has commercialized and deployed the world's first noninvasive, optical alcohol sensors for use in challenging high volume test environments. In this session we will present on both the underlying technology as well as the challenges faced when moving these types of sensors from the lab into the real world. We will also discuss some of the technology advancements that are enabling companies to begin developing high volume consumer applications including our work on a consumer vehicle sensor for routine prevention of drunk driving
